Our founder

I was born and raised on the stunning Coffs Coast, the ancestral land of the Gumbaynggirr people, and I take great pride in calling this place home as I raise my family of six. My educational journey began at Tyalla Primary School, and I graduated from Orara High School in 2012. Inspired to pursue higher education, I embarked on a path that led me to Deakin University, where I obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree. This academic journey ignited my passion for the NDIS realm, as I saw a significant gap that needed to be filled.

My personal journey has been one of overcoming challenges and embracing uniqueness. Diagnosed deaf at the age of 18 months, first set of hearing aids at the age of 3, and relied on sign language until I was around 7 years old where my vocabulary improved incrementally to a point where I am socially orals and could be understood a majority of the time. Through this experience, I learned the value of resilience, determination, and empathy, which have become the guiding principles of my life. Now, as the director of Chapman Support Services, I lead with a vision of creating an inclusive environment where individuals with disabilities can flourish and discover their full potential. Beyond my role in the business, I am dedicated to raising awareness and fostering acceptance for individuals with disabilities.

My path in support work began in 2014 when I had the incredible opportunity to be a cabin leader for special needs participants at Camp Greentop in the USA. The experiences and connections I gained during this time ignited my passion for advocating for those with disabilities. Having faced stereotypes myself, I felt compelled to become an advocate and champion of the rights and capabilities of individuals with disabilities. My journey is a testament to the power of determination and embracing diversity, and I am committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
